J24 2842 is For Sale - $14,000!





Hull 2842- J24 One Design Racing Sailboat for sale


Fleet champion and well proven performer. Boat is in great condition having been completely re-built in 2004: every piece of hardware was removed, all holes were filled with epoxy, hull was faired, keel moved forward and faired, rudder faired, epoxy barrier coat applied below waterline and lpu paint above (inside and out) making a 'like new' boat.  (rebuild performed by stephen estes- see older posts for details)

All new hardware, running and standing rigging to strict one design class regulations. Boat has raced in many levels of class competition- including North Americans, Nationals, and regional and district events all along the west coast.

- for the last 2 seasons, we have only raced thursday nights in summer, and haven't traveled so

2004 Refit

In 2004, USA 2842 underwent a complete refit by Stephen Estes.  It was a real labor of love- every piece of hardware was removed, every hole was cored, epoxy filled and redrilled.  All work was done to meet class regulations and to optimize for racing.  The pictures in the posts below are just some of those taken during this process-  many more are available by request.
